Happy One Month Anniversary to Me & Honey

Today is our one month wedding anniversary, I am truly enjoying being a wife. Everybody has been telling me how being married suits me, they have never seen me look this happy or beautiful! I am happy, grateful and looking forward to spending the rest of my life with the man of my dreams.

Being a muse vs Being an Artist

I found a picture of Honey's mom drawn in charcoal, my medium of choice. I asked him if he minded if I frame it and hang it. He knows I can draw so he said why don't you start drawing again. I said these things just to come to me, I have to be in the right frame of mind. I'm sure with practice, I could train myself to put myself in the frame of mind at any time. I just can't think of anything I want to draw, I'm uninspired. I need a muse. It is so much easier being a muse than to be an artist. Muses with their frivolous character allows the artist to believe that anything is possible. The lighthearted nature opens doors that darkness of the mind has shut. When the door is open the creative juices flow.
Muses can't be bothered everyday mundane thing, they often live a fantastic life bestowed upon them by grateful artists allowed to leave
reality while in the presence or influence a muse
So where do I find a male muse? The closest I ever came is when I employed quite a number of gay men who thought I had great ideas and were willing to help make my visions become tangible.

Day 4 of a long long week

I spent the morning hours drinking coffee here at home, We normally buy our coffee on the run. I rearranged the whole living and dining room, plants, pictures hung. I was all set to drill into the concrete block to hang two massive mirrors, but the drill wasn't charged. So I moved on to mopping 2,o00 sq ft of Terazzo, some laundy, the dishes etc. Then I rushed and changed for a noon meeting. I stopped by my mom's house after that, she wanted me to go with her to pick up her baby kitties from the vet, only one could come home today. They have never been seperated before. So that moved my schedule around, after the vet and getting the baby home I picked up stuff from the wedding that needs to come here, then it was off to Publix to do a light shop Just some odds and ends we needed including dog food, who expected to eat half an hour before that.
It's going to be hard to find me tomorrow. I have another lunch time meeting then I'm off to hit some great sales! World Market sent me pass for 25% off everything including clearance that is already 75% off. Bealls sent me a shopping pass as well with extra discounts and and double punches on my frequent shopper card.
I also want to hit two new gourmet shops to get stuff to make over the weekend

I Know We're Cool

~~~~~~~~~A post secret post~~~~~~~~~
Gwen Stefani - Cool
It's hard to remember how it felt before
Now I found the love of my life...
Passes things get more comfortable
Everything is going right
And after all the obstacles
It's good to see you now with someone else
And it's such a miracle that you and me are still good
friends
After all that we've been through
I know we're cool
We used to think it was impossible
Now you call me by my new last name
Memories seem like so long ago
Time always kills the pain
Remember Harbor Boulevard
The dreaming days where the mess was made
Look how all the kids have grown
We have changed but we're still the same
After all that we've been through
I know we're cool
And I'll be happy for you
If you can be happy for me
Circles and triangles, and now we're hangin' out with your new
girlfriend
So far from where we've been
I know we're cool
I googled my Honey
Before I went out for dinner with my honey for the first time, I googled him. To check out his story, was he really on the up and up on who he said he was? Yup he was, kinda cool, I thought (and still do when I remember). I also looked him up on the tax appraisers website, yep, he does live in a house not a van or a car. So basically armed with my newly gleaned information, I was willing to date him. Unfortunately for me, he saw the note pad with his address on it next the computer! Oops! So I came clean and told I checked him out, I said a girl has to be careful on who she dates you know. And those of you who are thinking damn she did everything but a credit check, I have a friend who works in the car business and she use to run credit checks on potential dates. That's uncool, because I think it would show as an inquiry on their credit. And as an savvy person knows the more inquirys the lower your score.
Anyway it wasn't who my honey was or where my honey lived that made me fall in love with him. In fact I fell in love with him despite the house and dogs! The whole point was I wasn't going to waste my time with any more posing men, who actually still live at home at 45, even though they dress nice, have a great job, and a nice car. It can be all smoke and mirrors if you know what I mean.
Late Wedding Check!!
Yippee!
So we get a card in the mail yesterday or the day before, and in it is a late wedding present. A nice big generous check. The bank accounts are doing fine, Honey has been urging me to buy something for myself (instead of the house) and now I have this check. I haven't been spending money on myself lately, well that's not exactley true (manicures, pedicures and hair don't count do they?). So anyways I wander into Tuesday Morning, and they have a sale an extra 50% off of sale prices. So if the sticker says 40% you get 40% off the 50% off that price! Now that's a nice sale! So I got a new sofa slipcover, four pillows by The SAK (They are great, like my Sak Purse!), a couple of new sofa throws for the fall, some dishtowels and one other pillow for the couch. My whopping total? $100.22. Which is awesome, I'll add up the retail prices and let you know how much I really saved. Anyways now I want to rearrange the living rooms (again). I just have to wait until Honey goes to work tomorrow, otherwise he will make me stop pushing furniture around.
Why so many blogs?
A) Cause one is never enough of anything.
B) One for each personality ( Thanks Steve, I'll know if you read this)
C) Three are dedicated to specific topics, the original blog was premarriage bumbling and still for random thoughts. The other is for married life journaling, which hasn't yet found it's groove yet.
So yes, I have 5 blogs, my own personal webring.
$2 million dollar shoes
The $65,000 Hermes Birkin bag ( Post below for pic and link) gets beat out for a $2 million dollar pair of shoes by Stuart Weitzman.
THE CINDERELLA SLIPPERS: How much could a pair of shoes cost? Well, the world's most expensive pair of women's shoes costs a cool $2 million!
The one-of-a-kind 4½-inch stiletto sandals are studded with 565 platinum-set Kwiat diamonds (which include 55 carats of clear diamonds and one big 5-carat stone).
The 'Cinderella slippers,' as Stuart Weitzman, the designer of the fantasy sandals, calls them, were worn by singer Alison Krauss (nominated for best song for the film Cold Mountain) at the 2004 Oscars ceremony.
New Wedding Ring?!
Hubby wants to buy me a new wedding ring already. The one I have now is simple and I picked it out and bought it myself. It was getting down to the wire and I hadn't yet found one that matched my antique engagement ring. So I bought it. So we would have rings to exchange during the ceremony. I really don't mind the ring I have, but he is adamant. So I spent some time last night surfing the web for ones I liked before he went on his own. Which he said he won't do. How did I get so lucky? I love, love, love being married to him. He's funny, kind, generous, adoring, affectionate and life is the same as it was before we got married and were just shacking up.
Just better.
Just call me Jane
So Hubby comes home today and I have the door to our computer room shut. I was in there reading blogs and surfin the net, Roomba was busy away which is why I had the door shut, otherwise the roomba wanders. I've discovered Roomba does much better if you keep an eye on her. Yes it's a she, we haven't named her yet. So he comes in with coffee ( ain't he great? )... I said honey, can't you see I'm busy vacuming? He left the door open and out went Roomba down the hall.. It's amazing how much she picks up, which is why I keep an eye on her to empty her every twenty mins or so.
I am thinking about a Scooba now, I wonder how well they (Roomba and Scooba) will get along.. We have a lot of bare flooring and it takes alot of work to keep it mopped and shiny. But with a scooba I could blog , surf and get the floors done, as opposed to blog, surf and not get the floors done.
Hubby thinks we are turning into the Jetson's... The name's Jane, Jane Jetson. He said Honey, you have to get out of bed for something. He is kidding, of course. He's still getting used to Roomba. Meanwhile I'm stalking Scooba at Bed, Bath and Beyond. I have a 20% off coupon and a $50 gift card. The $300 Scooba would be $240 after 20% then $50 off that using the gift card. So that would be $190 out of pocket. What a deal! Maybe I could score a discount gift card or two at Swap A Gift or on Ebay.
If you talk to yourself in public, people think you are crazy. If you write in a journal it's a good outlet for your feelings and encouraged as a form of therapy. So if you have a blog that nobody reads isn't that like talking to yourself in public?
EJ turned sweet 16!
Happy Birthday EJ!
Sorry about your driving test, those stop signs pop up magically overnight! Or if someone told you the white border means stopping is optional, they lied to you sweetie. Good luck on your next test!
Love,
Aunt Linda
Wedded Bliss
I love my husband. I got to spend the whole day shopping for me. By myself. That's the best way, you can take your time and nobody is urging you to get anything because they like it. Hubby wants me to get a new purse, He knows I only buy designer bags. I told him about a black Coach bag and he said go back and get it. Sweet. He loves when I do stuff for myself , it makes him feel good he says. Get a pedicure, get your nails done, go have your hair done. I don't always do it right away, I try to limit my manicures to once every two weeks, and pedicures once a month. I like that I have carte blanch for girly things. So with that said.. Have you seen the Hermes Birkin Bag that sold for $65,000? Real gold and 14 Carats of Pave Diamonds!
The new car is going to be another story, we have very different ideas of what to get. I want a sporty car or a sedan. He wants an SUV.
I want a Jaguar (the X-Type which is quite reasonable at $33,000-$37,000)
He wants one of the new Jeeps (A Commander priced $28,400-$36,600)
While I'm doing my wish list...
My silver Razr that I was one of the first to have over a year ago pales in comparison to the new MOTORAZR V3i DOLCE & GABBANA.
The Motorola RAZR V3i Dolce & Gabbana, set to be the new must-have for 2006 was sold in a few exclusive Dolce & Gabbana boutiques in Italy, France, Germany, Spain and the UK (that's right, no USA!)... of course the 1000 pieces have already been sold or reserved for VIP's such as Gwen Stefani, Sienna Miller, Jude Law and Paris Hilton!.....price $850
Not so "former"
Meow.....maybe I'm not as mellowed out as I thought. I was in a snappy mood today, I had to buy new tires for my car today, and I'm going to be getting a new car within the next 6 months or so. All that money for boring tires, but it had to be done, one was filled with fix a flat a few times and wouldn't hold air. And since all my Dr's are in Orlando and I have to go about three times a month, I'll be safe now. I hate using hubby's gas guzzling Explorer for the 60 miles each way plus tolls. So, I spent the day in Wal-mart, waiting for my car to get her new shoes. I have way more important things I could be doing. Don't they realize I'm a wife now!
I went by Lowe's and with my mom we got her wedding present to us. Trumpets sounding! A new.....dishwasher! Yay Mom! You are the best! Now hubby doesn't have to wash dishes by hand and put them in the dishwasher to dry! Did I mention it was stainless steel? Yay Mom! She listens to my "visions" of my dream kitchen.. she also threw in a new garbage disposal! and we have a new faucet, and a new Brita water purifier to put on the faucet.
I still haven't opened the Roomba up to charge, that is going to freak out the kids (dogs and cats). I have to make sure we have the memory card in the camera when we get it going. Mom has a Roomba and she turns it on to keep her two new kittens out of her formal living room.
By the by... I had an argument with Expedia today. I will never book anything through them again. Expedia you suck. You told me three things when I booked my cruise and none of them happened. It's a wonder we even had a stateroom. I sent a e-mail to Royal Carribean letting them know how Expedia treats their passengers and what they told me to get my booking through them. Other than that the cruise was great, we will just book it through American Express next time, the rates are the same if not better. We are thinking of going in January for my birthday and our 6 month anniversary.
So while I'm bitchin about being behind schedule, I had to stop and remind myself that really I'm not having a bad day. I can afford new tires and we got a dishwasher. That makes it a good day, right?
Anyway all the Dr's, my lawyer and the courts are closed tommorow so I might as well chill. I can get all my phone calls made Wed morning, and hopefully make it to the Courthouse to start my name change.
Oh and the rednecks across the street have started their family gathering in the front lawn..jimney christmas..they give the Griswalds a bad name. Last time I was out front there were 8 pickup trucks, one atv, a pool and a tent in the front lawn. And of course their smoker going. BBQ for all. Hopefully it rains all day tommorrow so they can't start the fireworks. It makes our dogs bark. I'm going to try sneak some pics to post, I don't have the words to explain the carnival they have going on..This a quiet residential suburb! Was. AMBEIN-take me away! And remember kids, baths and ambein don't mix, so leave out the Calgon.
